He has written and directed the films "Summer Solstice," "Old Donkey's Head," "Tell Them I've Gone to the Paradise," "One Day, A Gift," "Home on the Grassland," "Walking Past the Future," "Return to Dust," and "Unbounded Love." These films have been selected for numerous international and domestic film festivals, including Venice, Berlin, and Cannes, and have received multiple international and domestic awards and nominations.

A film and television producer from mainland China, whose representative works include "Return to Dust," which was nominated for the main competition unit at the 71st Berlin International Film Festival, "The Fallen Bridge," which won "Most Anticipated Film of the Year" in 2023, and "Rabbit Gang," among others. In August 2025, Li Yan's film "The Forgotten General," for which she served as producer, began production.
